#Canciondeldia (1-noviembre-2011): "I won't let you go" de James Morrison

¿Os ha pasado alguna vez que aunque os gusta mucho algo lo olvidáis cuando más importa? Pues eso es lo que me ha pasado con la #CANCIONDELDIA de hoy, 1 de noviembre, "I won't let you go" de James Morrison. No puedo creer cómo se me ha olvidado otorgarle este privilegio antes.



Hace unas semanas ya tuvimos a James Morrison con "Wonderful world", inaugurando la categoría de canciones no actuales, canciones antiguas, como #canciondeldia. Lo hice para prepararnos para este día, aunque ha llegado más tarde de lo que planeaba, el día de presentar lo nuevo de Morrison: "I won't let you go".

James Morrison, inglés (concretamente de una ciudad muy "deportiva": Rugby) y de 27 años, es para mí una de las mejores voces masculinas de la música. Se dio a conocer en 2006 con su primer álbum Undiscovered en el que se incluían grandes canciones como "You give me something" o la propia "Wonderful world" de la que antes hablábamos. Consiguió vender más de un millón de copias. Gracias a este trabajo fue nominado a tres premios BRIT, de los que ganó uno como Mejor Intérprete Británico Masculino.

Otro millón de copias consiguió vender con su segundo álbum Songs for you, Truths for me, que incluye temas como "Broken strings" (el aclamado dueto con Nelly Furtado) o "You make it real", entre otros.

James Morrison nos vuelve a regalar su voz y su talento en su nuevo disco, titulado The Awakening y lanzado el pasado 23 de septiembre. Desde agosto podemos disfrutar de su primer singles, este vibrante "I won't let you go". Sin embargo, dependiendo del país podemos encontrar que el primer single es "Slave to the music". El álbum también incluye un dueto con Jessie J, que no dudo que en unas semanas sea también la #canciondeldia.
