JOMEMUSIC BLOG estrena nueva sección: HIT LISTS !

El propio nombre lo indica, esta sección trata de las hit lists o listas de éxitos, con la particularidad de que serán listas de distintos puntos del mundo. Principalmente tendremos los tops más importantes de España, Estados Unidos, Canadá, Australia, Reino Unido, Alemania, Francia, Italia e incluso de Suecia... además de alguna otra. Os estoy hablando de la lista de los 40 Principales, los Billboards de Estados Unidos y Canadá (también el latino y el europeo), el ARIA Chart australiano, la UK Singles Chart de la BBCR1, las listas de MTV, las listas de Disqueenfrance, la Sverigetopplistan sueca... entre otras!

Y, ¿qué haremos en esta sección? Analizaremos esos éxitos, conoceremos música nueva e intentaremos comprender los gustos internacionales, o mejor dicho, lo que las radios o revistas pertinentes quieren que les guste a la gente.

La sección se desarrollará principalmente en fines de semana, así que... ¡estad atentos!

#Canciondeldia (18-noviembre-2011): "Gonna get over you" de Sara Bareilles

En una semana en la que no ha aparecido ninguna #canciondeldia en español, seguimos con Estados Unidos y la de hoy es Sara Bareilles con su último single, "Gonna get over you". En el video se pone bailonga en un supermercado mejicano y queda un poco raro, pero el final es muy gracioso! De todas maneras, la canción es lo que cuenta, al menos en esta sección.

Seguro que muchos la recordaréis por su mayor éxito, "Love song", aunque de eso hace ya unos años. Fue en 2007 y se incluía dentro de su segundo álbum de estudio, Little Voice, gracias al cual adquirió fama y el público pudo admirar su talento. Su tercer álbum, Kaleidoscope Heart, se lanzó hace ya más de un año y este "Gonna get over you" es ya su tercer single. Le precedieron "King of anything" y "Uncharted".

#Canciondeldia (17-noviembre-2011): "Called out in the dark" de Snow Patrol

Hoy, 17 de noviembre, nuestra #canciondeldia es "Called out in the dark" de Snow Patrol.

Aunque lanzada en agosto como adelanto del sexto album de estudio de esta banda escocesa de rock alternativo (Fallen Empires, que salió a la venta el pasado 11 de noviembre) yo no la conocí hasta octubre. El por qué es sencillo: Spotify no tiene indexadas las últimas canciones de Snow Patrol; y siendo esta mi principal fuente de música... normal que me haya retrasado en este caso!

Banda liderada por Gary Lightbody, Snow Patrol llevan ya 17 años en activo, si bien su primer álbum, Songs for Polarbears, salía a la venta en 1998. Inicialmente eran prácticamente desconocidos fuera de Reino Unido e Irlanda. Pero todo cambió gracias a su cuarto álbum, Eyes Open, editado en 2006. Con él consiguieron vender unas 5 millones de copias. Su canción más recordada, la más galardonada, fue "Chasing cars", que formó parte de la banda sonora de la serie americana Anatomía de Grey, lo que la hizo muy popular en Estados Unidos.

Fallen Empires contiene 14 pistas y ya va por su segundo single, "This isn't everything you are". De momento disfrutemos de este genial y diferente "Called out in the dark" y esperemos a ver si Snow Patrol vuelve a entrar en la lista de la #canciondeldia en unas semanas.

#Canciondeldia (16-noviembre-2011): "Take it or leave it" de Sublime With Rome

Ya estuvieron por aquí el 17 de septiembre, eso sí, fuera del blog. Ahora vuelven con otra #canciondeldia. Son Sublime With Rome y "Take it or leave it".

Sublime fue una banda californiana de ska punk (según wikipedia) formada por Bradley Nowell como vocalista y a la guitarra, Eric Wilson y Bud Gaugh, bajista y batería del grupo respectivamente. Estuvieron en activo desde 1988 hasta 1996 debido al fallecimiento de Nowell en mayo de ese mismo año, con tan sólo 28 años. Días más tarde se lanzaba el que fue el álbum más exitoso de la carrera de este grupo, titulado simplemente Sublime, con el que consiguieron 5 discos de platino en Estados Unidos.

13 años después, a finales de 2009, Wilson y Gaugh vuelven a reunirse con intenciones de seguir con el grupo. Para ello se unen al cantante y guitarrista Rome Ramírez y forman Sublime With Rome. El primer álbum de la banda se titula Yours Truly y se lanzó en julio de 2011, siendo "Panic" su primer single. Precisamente esta enérgica canción fue la #canciondeldia el 17 de septiembre. Ahora lo es su tercer sencillo, con un ritmo más sosegado, "Take it or leave it".

#Canciondeldia (15-noviembre-2011): "Turn me on" de David Guetta ft. Nicki Minaj

David Guetta y Nicki Minaj nos traen la #canciondeldia de hoy, 15 de noviembre, con "Turn me on".

David Guetta, quizá el artista francés más internacional del momento, está muy de moda. No hay cantante que se resista a colaborar con el DJ más exitoso de los últimos años. Aunque lleva años en el panorama musical, fue el álbum One Love el que lo lanzó a la fama mundial gracias a temas como "When love takes over", con Kelly Rowland, "Sexy bitch", con Akon y "Memories", con Kid Cudi. El álbum tuvo una reedición titulada One More Love, que incluía otros éxitos como "Gettin' over you", con Fergie y LMFAO, y "Who's that chick?" con Rihanna.

Y la estela del triunfo no para gracias a su último trabajo, titulado Nothing But The Beat, lanzado en agosto de este año, y del que ya se han desprendido singles como uno de los grándes éxitos de este verano, "Where them girls at", con Flo Rida y Nicki Minaj, "Little bad girl", con Taio Cruz y Ludacris, y "Without you", con Usher. El cuarto single oficialmente es una colaboración con Jessie J, que seguro que será nuestra #canciondeldia pronto. Sin embargo hoy os presento el que para mí puede ser el mejor tema del álbum y uno de los mejores de toda su trayectoria. Se trata de una nueva colaboración con la pujante y estridente Nicki Minaj, ahora sin Flo Rida de por medio, titulada "Turn me on". Potente y adictivo son los adjetivos que mejor describen a esta canción. Eso sí, la voz de Nicki no parece la misma. Y el video... pues no existe porque oficialmente no se ha lanzado el tema como single. Ojalá que salga pronto, y para entonces incluiré su video oficial en la playlist #canciondeldia en mi canal de youtube.

Por cierto, que también sirva esta #canciondeldia como homenaje a él y a su carrera para resarcirse de que otro año más no ha ganado ningún EMA MTV, ni siquiera como mejor artista de Francia.

#Canciondeldia (14-noviembre-2011): "Astronaut" de Simple Plan

"Nunca es tarde si la dicha es buena", o eso es lo que dice el refrán. Lo aplico a este caso porque si bien este tema estaba programado para ser la #canciondeldia hace ya dos semanas, las continuas interrupciones del blog (de las cuales pido disculpas) han hecho que se retrase. Pero ya está aquí. "Astronaut", el tercer single del último álbum de Simple Plan es #canciondeldia, hoy 14 de noviembre de 2011.

12 años hace ya que Simple Plan, quizá mi banda canadiense favorita, se formara en Montreal. A pesar de ello, se dieron a conocer en 2002 con su álbum debut No Pads, No Helmets... Just Balls. Su estilo pop punk conquistó el mundo y consiguieron obtener dos discos de platino en Canadá, Estados Unidos y Japón, respectivamente, y uno en Australia, además de otras grandes cifras en otros países como Reino Unido.

Mi historia con ellos es más tardía. Los conocí cuando el primer single de su segundo álbum, Still Not Getting Any..., sonaba en las radios españolas, allá por el 2004. Además, también recuerdo que fue la sintonía de un anuncio de TV. La canción, mundialmente conocida, era "Welcome to my life". Pero me "enganché" a esta banda gracias a su tercer álbum, lanzado en 2008 y titulado sencillamente Simple Plan. Éste es ya uno de mis discos favoritos al ocurrir algo difícil en mí (como ya he dicho en alguna ocasión): que todas las canciones me gusten. Temas como "When I'm gone", "Your love is a lie", "The End" o "Generation" son algunos de los mejores temas del álbum.

Y aquí están de nuevo, en 2011, con un nuevo trabajo titulado Get Your Heart On!. La primera que conocimos fue "Jet lag", acompañados en la versión en inglés por Natasha Bedingfield (colaboración extraña pero efectiva). Luego vino "Can't keep my hands off" y ahora este "Astronaut", con un sonido más lento y quizá la mejor canción del álbum. Me siento a veces identificado con la letra de esta canción.

#Canciondeldia (11-noviembre-2011): "Bienvenido" de Laura Pausini

Tras unos días de paréntesis, vuelve la #canciondeldia, hoy con "Bienvenido" de Laura Pausini.

"Bienvenido" no es una canción del todo nueva. Es más, la llevo escuchando desde mediados de septiembre. Pero he querido esperar a hoy por una razón bien simple: hoy Laura Pausini lanza su nuevo álbum, Inédito, cuyo primer single es nuestra #canciondeldia.

Undécimo álbum de estudio de una de las mejores voces de Italia, tal vez por ello haya elegido esta fecha tan especial. Eso sí, es en italiano; la versión en español a la que ya nos tiene acostumbrados gracias a su éxito en España e Hispanoamérica se lanzará definitivamente en unos días. Está compuesto por 14 temas y espero que sean tan potentes como "Bienvenido".

Lejos queda ya aquel noviembre de 1994 cuando Laura Pausini lanzaba su disco homónimo, su primer álbum en español, con el que enamoró a millones de personas, sorprendió por su voz y su calidad y llenó de recuerdos infancias como la mía, ya que por aquel entonces tenía sólo 5 añitos. Aún así, me acuerdo de todas sus canciones. ¿Quién no recuerda canciones como "Amores extraños", "Se fue", "La soledad" o "Gente"? Aún hoy cada vez que las escuchamos nos llenamos de nostalgia. 17 años después, sigue siendo el álbum más vendido por un artista extranjero en nuestro país; fue la primera artista no española en vender más de 1 millón de copias en España! Y no sólo aquí, cosechó un enorme éxito por toda Hispanoamérica y también por Europa.

Dos años después de su último trabajo, Laura Pausini vuelve con este potente y muy optimista "Bienvenido". Le deseo toda la suerte y espero que le traiga muchos éxitos.
