#Canciondeldia (31-octubre-2011): "Crawling back to you" de Daughtry

Ahora mismo nada me complace más que presentaros a Daughtry y su nuevo tema, "Crawling back to you", nuestra #CANCIONDELDIA este 31 de octubre de 2011.



Para los que no sepáis nada de Daughtry, porque no son todavía muy conocidos en España, son una banda de rock formada en 2006 en Carolina del Norte, Estados Unidos. El líder del grupo es Chris Daughtry, de 32 años, que se dio a conocer en la quinta edición de American Idol, donde, a pesar de merecérselo y mucho, no ganó y obtuvo un cuarto puesto. Pero aunque no se alzó con la victoria, sí puede presumir de ser uno de los tres cantantes salido del talent-show más famoso de la televisión americana que más éxito han tenido y más discos han vendido, junto a Kelly Clarkson y Carrie Underwood.

Además de Chris, la banda se completa con Josh Paul, Josh Steely, Brian Craddock y Robin Diaz. Jeremy Brady y Joey Barnes también formaron parte del grupo hasta 2007 y 2010 respectivamente.

Lo más importante (personalmente) de Daughtry es que son actualmente uno de mis grupos favoritos! Encantado con su música, su estilo (aunque a veces sea "tachado" de un tanto comercial) y la voz de Chris, sigo cada paso de esta banda y espero poder verlos en directo algún día.

Hasta la fecha Daughtry ha editado dos álbumes geniales. El primero lleva el nombre de la banda y consiguió vender casi 5 millones de copias, principalmente en USA. Leave This Town se editaba en 2009 y fue el álbum con el que conocí al grupo, que me cautivó desde el primer momento. Es ya uno de mis álbumes preferidos de toda mi historia musical, consiguiendo algo muy difícil en mí: me gustan todas las canciones! "No surprise", "Life after you", "September", "Ghost of me", "Supernatural", "Open up your eyes"... 12 joyas en total.

Además, ha hecho distintas colaboraciones entre las que cabe destacar un par de ellas: "Long way down" con Timbaland y "Photograph" con Santana.
El próximo 21 de noviembre sale a la venta su tercer trabajo que llevará el título de Break The Spell. Ya se han desprendido dos canciones. El segundo es "Crawling back to you", nuestra #canciondeldia!! Oficialmente se lanzó el 4 de octubre y el videoclip, sencillo pero efectivo, se daba a conocer a través del canal VEVO de Daughtry en Youtube (http://www.youtube.com/user/daughtryVEVO) el 25 de octubre, la semana pasada.
